GROUP
YOGA CLASSES
Yoga Acharya V.V.R. Ganesh offers a comprehensive program of courses in the
ancient science of yoga and yoga therapy which is presented in a user-friendly fashion. Through careful, thorough
and simple instruction, students learn how to master yoga positions (called "asanas" in Sanskrit); breathing techniques
("pranayama"); mental focusing; and relaxation methods.
The
goal of these teachings is to provide students with practices that can be easily integrated into their lifestyles to create
long-lasting positive change and overall mind-body-spirit health, wellbeing, relaxation and fitness. Through consistent use
of these methods, the student's physical, mental, and emotional states become clearer and more peaceful.
BASIC LEVEL GROUP YOGA CLASSES are designed to introduce students to the techniques
and theories of yoga in a user-friendly style and relaxed atmosphere. During these classes students learn the fundamental
yoga asanas (postures), correct alignment, proper breathing to bring them a healthy, strong and relaxed body as well as a
calm and peaceful mind. The theory of yoga is also discussed so that students may know what an overall dedicated practice
will bring to them. These classes are for anyone who would like to explore yoga for the first time and also for those students
who have already learned some yoga but would like to deepen their awareness of the techniques.

and one of the most important asanas • Fundamental techniques of yoga: what yoga brings to the dedicated practitioner • Explanation of yoga asanas for : strength, flexibility and balance
